Mário Raposo

Self-taught musician and composer born in São Miguel, Mário Raposo has been making music with synthesizers since the 90s, encompassing influences from jazz, classical music, new age, electronics and the art of the soundtrack. Still in that decade he joined the duo Art & Soul and made the musical arrangements for releases of prominent figures of Azorean music such as Aníbal Raposo and Luís Alberto Bettencourt, as well as compositions for documentaries and advertising. With a remarkable discography since 2007, Mário Raposo will present, for the first time, some of his themes in a cross between new age, environmental music and aesthetics commonly associated with the world of science fiction.
