In its New Year's Concert, the Sinfonietta of Ponta Delgada presents a programme that includes the Fantasy Ouverture “Romeo and Juliet”, by P. Tchaikovsky, as well as the waltzes, marches, and polkas typical of the New Year’s celebration concerts. During the intermission, the public is invited to a celebratory toast at the Noble Hall.
