METROPOLIS

Pianist and composer Filipe Raposo created a new original soundtrack for the expressionist classic “Metropolis” (1927), by Fritz Lang. With a modern and evocative approach, the music is performed live by Raposo, on the piano, accompanied by an ensemble from the Sinfonietta de Ponta Delgada, conducted by maestro Amâncio Cabral. In a fusion of image and sound, this creation immerses the audience in a powerful journey through the futuristic and dystopian universe of the film.
